The Pioneers beat the blizzard and split a double header at Central Methodist on Saturday. In Game 1, CMU nailed a 3-run homer in the first inning to put MNU in a hole. The Pioneers fought back with 2 runs in the third, but the Eagles scored single runs in the third and fourth to take a 5-1 lead.
Josh Greer's 2-run homer got the Pioneers within 1 in the sixth, but that was the end of the scoring and MNU dropped their first conference game of 2013. Greer (1-2, R, HR, 2 RBI, BB) and
Dillon Moeller (2-3, R, SB) led the offense.
In the 9-inning Game 2, MNU took an early 7-2 lead after scoring in each of the first 3 innings.
