The Pioneers waited for the weather to clear before dropping a single game at William Jewell on Friday afternoon. The back end of the double header has been postponed and will be made up next week. The Pioneers got on the board in the top of the second when Dave Staton's 2-out single brought home
Tim Purdin to put MNU up 1-0. But Jewell scored 8 unanswered runs to take a big lead and put the game out of reach. MNU scored 2 runs in the seventh, but couldn't come up with the miracle comeback and lost 8-3.
Kyle Segraves (1-4, 2 RBI) and Dave Staton (2-3, RBI) drove in the Pioneer runs.
The Pioneers are 28-13 (18-7 HAAC). The next double header is Saturday at home vs. William Jewell (27-18, 13-12) at 1:00.
