Silvis, Ill. - MidAmerica Nazarene University delivered an impressive performance at the national tournament, finishing tied for 5th out of 29 teams. Entering the tournament ranked 8th, MNU steadily improved throughout the 3-round event. After opening with a +11 in Round 1, the team tightened up in Round 2 with a +5. In the final round, MNU surged with a tournament-best +4 - at least four shots better than any other remaining team - which propelled them into a tie for 5th place overall.
The team was led by
Patrick Neal, who earned All-America after a -4 tournament was good for 3rd place individually.
Colby Unruh, Josh Killingsworth,
Hunter Schmidt, and
Jack Tarvin also finished in the top 60 of 188 players.
