The Pioneers went to Canton, MO and came away with a double header split as they closed out the regular season at Culver-Stockton.
Box and Play by Play In Game 1, neither team could find a run and it was scoreless into the sixth inning. The Pioneers loaded the bases with no outs but could only manage an
Annie Duffner sacrifice fly to take a 1-0 lead. Culver answered in their half of the sixth when a walk was followed by a 2-run shot to give the Wildcats a 2-1 lead. In the bottom of the seventh, 2 walks and a hit batsman loaded the bases for MNU. With 2 outs, Jessica Scarlet walked on 4 pitches to push across the tying run. Culver led off the bottom of the eighth with a double and a walk, and when the Pioneers threw the bunt attemp wildly, the Wildcats won the game 3-2.

Jadalynn Cirillo (1-3, RBI, BB) had MNU's 2 hits.

Brittany Williams started the scoring with a 2-run homer to put MNU up 2-0 in the top of the fourth inning. The Wildcats remained at 0 until their own 2-run shot tied the game in the bottom of the sixth. In the top of the seventh,
Annie Duffner walked and scored 1 out later on Lysney Keith's RBI double for a 3-2 Pioneer lead.
Kayla Harris closed out the seventh with no trouble for her 14th victory of the season. And
Brittany Williams (2-3, R, HR, 2 RBI) and
Jen Polivka (2-3, 2B) had 2 hits apiece.
The Pioneers are 18-15 (9-9 HAAC). The next game will be a 3-game series in the 1st round of the conference tournament next weekend. Opponent and time to be determined.
