Kristie Tiegreen's career-high 19 points led the Pioneers to a 92-87 victory over Lindenwood on Thursday. The victory secures MNU a spot in the 8-team conference tournament starting March 2.
The Pioneers had the lead for most of the game, but Lindenwood would not let MNU get too far away. Four different times the Pioneers built a 6-point lead only to see Lindenwood go on a run to tie the game. Finally the Lions took a 2-point lead with under a minute remaining in regulation, but Janee' Garza found
Sophia Stockton in the lane for a game-tying bucket to send the contest into overtime.
In the overtime session MNU finally was able to maintain an early 6-point lead.

CJ Wesemann hit free throws down the stretch to ice the game and move the conference record to 8-10.
Tiegreen had a career-high 19 points on 8-10 shooting (2-2 3-PT) with 5 rebounds.
CJ Wesemann had 18 points and 3 steals off the bench.
Sophia Stockton had 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks. And
Kiley Herold reached double figures with 12 points.
