The Pioneers allowed William Jewell just 15 points in the first half on Saturday, but the second half was a different story and MNU fell 60-42. Jewell couldn't find the basket in the early going as MNU started the game on a 10-2 run after 8 minutes of play. The Pioneers struggled to get an offensive rhythm as Jewell finally found the rim and MNU led 16-15 at halftime.
After 5 minutes in the second half the score was tied at 23, but the Pioneers went cold. In the next 10 minutes, Jewell went on a 30-7 run to blow the game open. MNU couldn't get back into the game and Jewell cruised to victory.
Bethany Schwab led all scorers with 14 points.
Bethany Rexroth had 7 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks. And
Beth Keeley had 4 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals.
