FAYETTE, Mo. – MNU and Central Methodist battled through 90 scoreless minutes Tuesday night at Davis Field, with the Pioneers extending their shutout streak in a 0-0 draw.

Central Methodist generated more of the early pressure, recording seven first-half shots and four corner kicks, but the MNU defense kept every attempt off target. The Eagles' best opportunity came in the 22nd minute when a header hit the post.

MNU produced four shots before halftime. Lenin Flores had attempts blocked in the fourth and 18th minutes, Kevin De Andrade had a shot blocked in the ninth, and Jake Rainforth's attempt in the 38th was also blocked. Neither team put a shot on goal during the opening 45 minutes.

The Pioneers continued to limit Central Methodist after the break. The Eagles managed only two second-half shots, with both going high, as MNU's back line of Amaro Piaggio, Adam Wiman, David Stoklasek and Caleb Brueckner each played all 90 minutes in front of goalkeeper Lennart Fischer.

MNU began creating more pressure late. The Pioneers earned their first corner in the 76th minute and another in the 83rd, but neither produced the breakthrough.

The best chance of the night for MNU came with just 22 seconds remaining. Paul Vingtrois put the Pioneers' only shot on goal toward the net at 89:38, but it was saved to preserve the scoreless draw.
