OLATHE, Kan. – MNU showed flashes of offensive firepower throughout the series, but could not contain Missouri Baptist's explosive lineup, dropping 4 games to the Spartans over the weekend.

In Game 1, MNU came out with authority, erupting for 5 runs in the opening inning. Ronnie Rowley set the tone with a leadoff home run, while Jeremy Morales added a 2-run shot and Ryan Martinez capped the inning with an RBI double to give the Pioneers a 5-0 lead.

Missouri Baptist responded steadily before breaking the game open in the 5th. After trimming the deficit to 1, the Spartans exploded for 8 runs in the inning to seize full control. MNU managed just 1 run the rest of the way as the early momentum slipped away in a 17-6 loss.

Game 1 Turning Point
Missouri Baptist's 8-run 5th inning flipped a tight game into a blowout.

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Ronnie Rowley (2-4, R, HR, RBI), Jeremy Morales (1-3, R, HR, 2 RBI, HBP), Noah Castillo (2-4, R, 2B), and Ryan Martinez (3-4, 2B, 2 RBI) had big games at the plate.

In Game 2, MNU again struck early and often in a high-scoring battle. The Pioneers plated 3 runs in the 1st, highlighted by a 2-run single from Noah Castillo, and followed with a 4-run second inning behind a bases-clearing double from Kaden Owens to build a 7-4 advantage.

MNU extended the lead to 10-4 after 3 innings, but Missouri Baptist answered with relentless offense. The Spartans tied the game in the 5th with a 6-run surge and continued to pile on late, scoring in each of the final 3 innings to pull away for a 19-10 victory.

Game 2 Turning Point
Missouri Baptist's game-tying and go-ahead rally in the 5th erased a 6-run deficit and shifted all momentum.

Game 2 Individual Leaders
Riggs Harper (0-0, 2 R, RBI, 5 BB) walked a school-record 5 times. And Kaden Owens (1-3, R, 2B, 4 RBI, BB), Jeremy Morales (1-3, R, RBI, BB, SB), and Noah Castillo (1-3, 2 RBI, BB) also drove in runs.

In Game 3, MNU battled but struggled to overcome an early deficit. Missouri Baptist struck for 2 runs in the 2nd and added 4 more in the 3rd and 4th innings to take a 6-0 lead.

The Pioneers mounted a response midway through the game. Kaden Owens delivered an RBI double in the 4th before MNU added 2 more runs in the 5th on an RBI single from Ronnie Rowley and a sacrifice fly by Riggs Harper to cut the deficit to 6-3.

Despite the push, MNU was unable to generate further offense down the stretch, as Missouri Baptist closed out the 6-3 win.

Game 3 Turning Point
Missouri Baptist's four early innings of scoring created a cushion MNU could not overcome.
