OLATHE, Kan. – MNU showed flashes of offensive firepower throughout the series, but could not contain Missouri Baptist's explosive lineup, dropping 4 games to the Spartans over the weekend.
In Game 1, MNU came out with authority, erupting for 5 runs in the opening inning. Ronnie Rowley set the tone with a leadoff home run, while Jeremy Morales added a 2-run shot and Ryan Martinez capped the inning with an RBIÂ double to give the Pioneers a 5-0 lead.
Missouri Baptist responded steadily before breaking the game open in the 5th. After trimming the deficit to 1, the Spartans exploded for 8Â runs in the inning to seize full control. MNU managed just 1 run the rest of the way as the early momentum slipped away in a 17-6 loss.

In Game 2, MNU again struck early and often in a high-scoring battle. The Pioneers plated 3 runs in the 1st, highlighted by a 2-run single from Noah Castillo, and followed with a 4-run second inning behind a bases-clearing double from Kaden Owens to build a 7-4 advantage.
MNU extended the lead to 10-4 after 3 innings, but Missouri Baptist answered with relentless offense. The Spartans tied the game in the 5th with a 6-run surge and continued to pile on late, scoring in each of the final 3 innings to pull away for a 19-10 victory.

Missouri Baptist's game-tying and go-ahead rally in the 5th erased a 6-run deficit and shifted all momentum.

Riggs Harper (0-0, 2 R, RBI, 5 BB) walked a school-record 5 times. And Kaden Owens (1-3, R, 2B, 4 RBI, BB), Jeremy Morales (1-3, R, RBI, BB, SB), and Noah Castillo (1-3, 2 RBI, BB) also drove in runs.
In Game 3, MNU battled but struggled to overcome an early deficit. Missouri Baptist struck for 2 runs in the 2nd and added 4 more in the 3rd and 4th innings to take a 6-0 lead.
The Pioneers mounted a response midway through the game. Kaden Owens delivered an RBI double in the 4th before MNU added 2 more runs in the 5th on an RBI single from Ronnie Rowley and a sacrifice fly by Riggs Harper to cut the deficit to 6-3.
Despite the push, MNU was unable to generate further offense down the stretch, as Missouri Baptist closed out the 6-3 win.

In Game 4, the Spartans scored in every inning for a total of 26 runs to complete the sweep.
