OLATHE, Kan. – MNU women's soccer forward Tindra Jarl has been named the PrestoSports-NAIA National Offensive Player of the Week, announced Tuesday, October 27.
Jarl earned the national honor after an extraordinary offensive week in which she scored 8 goals in 2 matches, leading the Pioneers to shutout victories over William Woods and William Penn.
She entered the week with 8 goals on the season, and increased it to 13 with a 5-goal performance in MNU's 7-0 victory over William Woods. She scored twice in the first half before adding 3 more goals in the second.
Four days later, Jarl continued her scoring surge with a hat trick in a 5-0 road victory over William Penn. She opened the scoring just 6:03 into the match, added another goal in the 28th minute, and completed her second consecutive hat trick early in the second half.
Across the 2 victories, Jarl accounted for 8 of MNU's 12 goals, helping the #15-ranked Pioneers improve to 11-3-2 overall and 8-3-1 in Conference.
The performances raised her season total to 16 goals, including 7 game-winning goals, and gave her 37 points through 16 matches.
