#2 Pioneers Settle for Epic Draw at #16 Grand View

DES MOINES, Iowa – #2 MNU struck first and held a 2-0 lead on the road Saturday, but unbeaten #16-ranked Grand View answered late to force a 2-2 draw. The Pioneers generated 18 shots and pressed late, but both teams settled for a point in a matchup of two of the Heart's top squads.

Antonio Mugica opened the scoring in the 31st minute with a finish set up by David Stoklasek. Jeremie Pelade doubled the lead in the 59th minute, tucking away a pass from Gil Brown to make it 2-0. But Grand View responded quickly, scoring twice in a four-minute span to even the match. A furious final few minutes saw several saves and legitimate chances, but the defenses held firm.
