McPHERSON, Kan. – MNU swept a double header at McPherson on Monday. In Game 1, Aariana Paprocki got the Pioneers on the board in the third with an RBI single. Kelly Stoakes and Abby Schulte added runs in the fourth, and Stoakes delivered a key RBI triple in the sixth to extend the lead. Grace Berlage was dominant on the mound, striking out eight over five scoreless innings.

MNU's 2-run 4th gave them the necessary cushion.

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Grace Berlage struck out 8 in 5 one-hit innings. And Kelly Stoakes (2-4, 3B, 2 RBI), Aariana (2-4, RBI), Robin Todd (2-4, R), and Danica Hobbs (2-2, R, 2B, Sac) had 2 hits apiece.

In Game 2, MNU jumped ahead early, scoring three runs in the first four innings. McPherson battled back to tie the game in the sixth with back-to-back RBI doubles. The teams traded runs in the eighth before MNU capitalized on a passed ball in the ninth to score the go-ahead run. Pitcher B. Manwarren shut the door in the bottom of the ninth to seal the win.

Game 2 Individual Leaders
Mandy Brown struck 7 in 6 innings. Brie Manwarren picked up the win with 3 innings of relief. And Abby Schulte (2-5, 2B), Dakoda Hobbs (2-5, R), Andi Clements (2-4, 3 R, 2B), Molly Nicas (2-4, 2B, RBI), and Maddie Brooks (1-3, 2B, 2 RBI) led the offense.
