WICHITA, Kan. – MNU dropped both games of a doubleheader at Friends on Tuesday. In Game 1, the Pioneers got off to a quick start, scoring in the first inning on a double by Alli VanLanker and RBI single from Abby Schulte. However, Friends responded with a 6-run first inning and never looked back. MNU added another run in the 6th, but the deficit was too large to overcome.

Brie Manwarren pitched 3.1 innings of scoreless relief. And Alli VanLanker (2-4, R, 2 2B) had 2 hits.
In Game 2, MNU managed to score runs in the second and fourth innings, but Friends' offense proved too strong. A 7-inning 1st and a 2-run 4th put the game out of reach, and the Falcons won 10-2 in 6 innings.
