DES MOINES, Iowa – MNU gutted out a hard-earned road win Friday night, holding off Grand View 65–61. MNU led 33–30 at halftime and never trailed in the second half, though the Vikings stayed within striking distance throughout. The Pioneers pushed the margin to as many as eight midway through the half before Grand View made its final push in the closing minutes.
Malachi Bryant led MNU with 16 points, adding 7 rebounds. Uriah Boutte followed with 14 points, including two late free throws with 4 seconds remaining to seal the win. Caden Kaberline continued his efficient play, scoring 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting while grabbing a team-high 8 rebounds and dishing out 3 assists.
Off the bench, Landon Wagler delivered an important spark with 9 points and 6 rebounds, while Mikai Blakeney chipped in 7 points.
