SEWARD, Neb. – #13 MNU kept its perfect start alive with a commanding 62–39 victory over #9 Dakota Wesleyan Friday afternoon at the Concordia Classic.
After a cold-shooting first quarter, the Pioneers found their rhythm behind a 17–11 second period and never looked back, outscoring DWU 24–7 in the final frame. Grace Carlson led the way with 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including 4 threes, while Mary Lukert added 14 points and Zaylee Werth posted an 11-point, 10-rebound double-double.
MNU's defensive effort was the story of the night, holding DWU to just 27.1% from the floor and 25% from three. The Pioneers forced 20 turnovers and limited the Tigers to single digits in three of the four quarters.
