OLATHE, Kan. – #2 MidAmerica Nazarene punched its ticket to the Heart Tournament Final with a decisive 2–0 win over Grand View Friday afternoon at Pioneer Field.
The Pioneers wasted no time taking control, as Elyes Ellouz opened the scoring just 1:40 into the match with a clinical finish after a failed clearance. MNU carried the 1–0 lead into halftime after controlling much of the possession and creating consistent pressure on the Viking defense.
Grand View threatened briefly in the second half, but the MNU back line held firm and keeper Tobias Stirl turned away both shots on goal he faced. The Pioneers sealed the match in the 77th minute when Vladimir Buljan doubled the lead, finishing a through ball from Thomas Giraudo to make it 2–0.
