ST. LOUIS, Mo. – #25 MNU's tournament run came to an end Tuesday night as the Pioneers fell in straight sets to #17 Missouri Baptist in the Heart of America Semifinals.

Despite strong individual efforts from Mia Olson and Avery Lowe, MNU struggled to find rhythm against the nationally ranked Spartans, who hit .229 as a team and used a powerful front line to control the net. The Pioneers were held to a .136 hitting percentage, committing 18 attack errors over three sets.

After a slow start in the opening frame, MNU responded with a competitive second set, hitting .375 and staying within striking distance throughout. However, a late surge by Missouri Baptist closed the door, and the Spartans carried that momentum into the third to secure the sweep.

Olson led the Pioneers with 6 kills and 4 blocks, while Lowe added 8 kills and 2 blocks. Isabella Munari contributed 6 kills and 7 digs, and setter Alex Thomas recorded 14 assists and 4 digs. Defensively, Emily Mathis anchored the back row with 8 digs.
