OLATHE, Kan. – MNU continued its strong start to the 2025–26 season with an 89–71 win over Central Baptist on Thursday night inside the Cook Center. The Pioneers shot better than 50% from the field and got another major boost from their deep bench, which outscored CBC 47–13 to secure the home victory.
Uriah Boutte led MNU with 18 points on 6-for-13 shooting, including three triples, while Isaiah Cull poured in 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Kobe Nunes added 12 points and 4 boards, and Caden Kaberline anchored the inside with 9Â points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists. Brantyn Van Dyke and Mikai Blakeney each provided key minutes off the bench, combining for 14 points and nine rebounds as the Pioneers' reserves turned the tide in the first half.
After a competitive opening stretch, MNU used perimeter shooting to build a 43–33 halftime lead, fueled by Cull's two early threes and Boutte's hot hand from deep. The Pioneers kept their foot on the gas in the second half, shooting 52% and controlling the glass 43–30 overall.
Turning Point
Midway through the first half, back-to-back threes from Cull and Boutte capped a 10–0 run that turned a 2-point deficit into a 25–17 lead. From there, the Pioneers never trailed, extending their advantage to double digits before halftime and keeping CBC at bay the rest of the way.
