OLATHE, Kan. – #2 MNU dropped a tough 2-1 decision to William Woods on Tuesday afternoon, despite outshooting the visitors 27-11 and controlling much of the play. The setback ended MNU's five-match unbeaten streak.
Jeremie Pelade gave the Pioneers an early lead in the 22nd minute, finishing a cross from Jaxon Slaven with help from Gil Brown. MNU continued to press, firing 16 shots after halftime, but William Woods struck back with goals in the 54th and 81st minutes to claim the win.
