MARSHALL, Mo. – In a clash of ranked powerhouses, #19 MNU battled #5 Missouri Valley to a scoreless draw on Wednesday night. Despite creating several dangerous chances, the Pioneers were held off the board as both defenses stood firm in a physical, evenly matched contest.

MNU managed 10 total shots and four corners, pushing the pace especially in the second half, but Missouri Valley's goalkeeper came up with five key saves to preserve the clean sheet. The Pioneers' back line was equally resolute, anchored by goalkeeper Fiona Popetschnig, who turned away eight shots to record her fifth shutout of the season.

Midfielders Thayline Teixeira and Tindra Jarl led the attack, each registering multiple shots on goal. Teixeira came inches away from breaking the deadlock in the 17th minute when her drive struck the post, while Jarl's late effort in the 84th minute was blocked inside the box. Lieve Mol, Luna Etienne, and Bella Leon also contributed with shots on target as MNU controlled much of the late possession.

Turning Point
Popetschnig's back-to-back saves midway through the first half kept the game scoreless and shifted momentum toward MNU before halftime.
