PERU, Neb. – MNU kept rolling through Heart of America play Tuesday night, sweeping Peru State 25-19, 25-16, 25-22 to notch its fifth straight win and improve to 11-1 in conference action. The Pioneers' balance and serve pressure once again proved decisive as nine aces and a .161 hitting clip powered another efficient road performance.
MNU came out strong behind Nayeli Rodriguez's opening service run, jumping to a 4–0 lead capped by an ace and back-to-back kills from Alyssa Reichard and Avery Lowe. The Pioneers never trailed in the opening frame, hitting .225 and closing it out 25–19 on a Pavlina Pelcova kill.
MNU dominated the second set 25-16 to seize control of the match.
Peru State pushed back in the third, trimming a late deficit to 23–22, but Isabella Munari delivered two clutch kills to ice the match.
Turning Point
Bartosz's two consecutive aces in the middle of Set 2 broke open a tight frame and gave the Pioneers all the momentum they needed to finish the sweep.
