LAWRENCE, Kan. – MNU extended its winning streak to 8 matches Thursday night, sweeping Haskell 25–17, 25–20, 25–20. The Pioneers hit .160 as a team and held the Indians to just .050 while racking up 63 digs and 10 block assists in a steady road performance.
MNU took control early, using a 10–3 closing run in the opening set to turn a tight frame into a 25–17 win. Mia Olson was dominant in the middle, converting on 10 of 17 swings without an error (.588), while setters Alex Thomas and Callie Winebarger orchestrated a smooth offense that produced 13 assists apiece.
The Pioneers built on that momentum in the second set, fending off several Haskell rallies before closing 25–20. Maddie Schmidt came off the bench to spark the attack with five kills, and MNU's block—led by Olson and Madeline Angel—neutralized the Haskell hitters down the stretch.
In the third, the Pioneers again found answers when challenged. After trailing 2–0 early, MNU went on a 9–3 run to take control and finish the sweep.
