OLATHE, Kan. – MNU delivered one of its most complete performances of the season on Saturday afternoon, sweeping #19-ranked Grand View 25-20, 25-20, 25-15 in a statement Heart of America victory at the Cook Center. With the win, the Pioneers snapped the Vikings' 12-match conference winning streak. Callie Winebarger started the match with 4 consecutive aces, leading to a 10-2 start and the Pioneers took the first set. In Set 2, the teams were tied at 18 before MNU won the next 6 points to take control. In Set 3, the Pioneers led 11-10 before going on a 10-1 run to run away with it and complete the sweep.
MNU hit .202 as a team and showcased a balanced attack led by Isabella Munari, who notched 10 kills and 9 digs for an all-around effort. Mia Olson added 9 kills on an efficient .529 hitting percentage while contributing three blocks, and Avery Lowe had 7 kills on .778 hitting and four total blocks.
Setter Callie Winebarger kept the offense humming with 19 assists, 10 digs, and 7 aces in a stellar performance. Alex Thomas chipped in 13 assists, while Emily Mathis anchored the back row with 16 digs. The Pioneers' serve pressure was a difference-maker, as MNU racked up nine aces to keep Grand View out of rhythm.
