OLATHE, Kan. - MNU prevailed in a dramatic overtime thriller, edging Peru State 91-90 in front of a raucous home crowd. The first half was close throughout, as MNU built a short-lived 8-point lead which dwindled as the period closed. Peru led by 1 at the break, and the 2nd half was more of the same. MNU led by 7 with 8:15 remaining, but the Bobcats clawed their way back to tie it at the end of regulation. In overtime, Peru jumped out with a 6-0 run, but MNU went on a 9-2 run to take the lead with 45 seconds left. The Bobcats converted a bucket for a 90-89 lead, but Malachi Bryant was fouled with 13 seconds left and coolly drained both free throws for a 1-point lead. Peru's final shot was blocked in the last second, and MNU came away victorious.
