The Eagles controlled the first set and won 25-17, but MNU turned it around in the second set and led 20-16. CMU fought back with 5 straight points to take the lead, but the Pioneers won 5 of the next 7 points to win 25-23. MNU kept momentum and controlled Set 3 to win 25-18 to take a 2-1 lead, but the Eagles took a big early lead in the fourth and won 25-15 to force a fifth and deciding set. The Pioneers took a 5-2 lead before a CMU timeout, and the Eagles controlled the middle of the set and led 11-10. After an attack error tied the set, an
Avery Lowe kill put MNU ahead.
Mia Olson and
Isabella Munari combined for a block to make it 13-11, and Munari followed with a kill to bring match point. Lowe cleaned up a brief rally on the next point with a kill, and MNU took the match.
