OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers split a double header vs. Peru State on Saturday. The game were played in Olathe due to weather in Nebraska, so MNU was the visitor on the scoreboard. In
Game 1, the teams were tied at 1 heading to the 7th, and the Pioneers took a 2-1 lead on a
Kelly Stoakes RBI groundout. In the bottom of the 7th, Peru had a walk, a single, a fielder's choice, and a bases loaded walk to tie the game with no outs. A shallow flyout kept the runners in place, but a hit batsman followed to give the game to the Bobcats.

Game 2, MNU took an early lead with a single run in the 1st, and that would be all starter
Mykala Johnico needed in a complete game shutout.
Robin Todd drilled a 2-run homer in the top of the 4th, and the Pioneers blew it open with 5 runs in the 6th and 7th - highlighted by a
Kelly Stoakes 2-run homer, to cruise to an 8-0 victory.
