Pioneers Claim Outright Conference Title

OLATHE, Kan. – MNU won their 14th straight game with a 70-57 victory over Graceland to clinch the outright conference title on Wednesday. The Pioneers will host every game they're involved in during the conference tournament. In the first half vs. the Yellowjackets, MNU shot 39% and put up just 28 points. Graceland struggled as well, however, and led by only 2 at the break. The Pioneers turned it around in the 2nd half, but the game remained close with an MNU 3-point lead with 9 minutes remaining. The Pioneers finally found rhythm and went on a 19-3 run to open up a 19-point lead with 2:29 left. Graceland hit a few buckets in garbage time to close the gap, but MNU cruised to a 13-point victory.
