OLATHE, Kan. – MNU dominated Benedictine in a 3-0 victory on Saturday. The Pioneers took control early with a goal from Bella Leon in the 9th minute - assisted by Thayline Teixeira. In the 38th minute, Zoey Edwards scored off a pass from Andrea Martinez, and MNU took a 2-0 lead to halftime. In the 63rd minute, Thayline Teixeira collected a rebound off an Alyssa Ward shot, fired it home, and sealed the win.

Bella Leon's early goal set the tone, giving MNU momentum that Benedictine couldn't overcome.

Thayline Teixeira had a standout performance, contributing a goal and an assist. Bella Leon and Zoey Edwards also found the back of the net. Andrea Martinez and Alyssa Ward recorded assists. And goalkeeper Fiona Popetschnig recorded two saves to earn the clean sheet.
