OLATHE, Kan. – MNU suffered a tough home loss in straight sets to #18 Central Methodist on Tuesday. The Pioneers battled through the first set, losing a tight contest 25-23, but could not maintain the same level of play, falling 25-16 in both the second and third sets.
Despite the loss, MNU saw strong performances from standout players like Isabella Munari, who led the team with 11 kills and added 15 digs. Avery Lowe and Alyssa Reichard also contributed, but the Pioneers struggled offensively, hitting just .042 as a team compared to Central Methodist's .189.
Turning Point
The turning point came in the first set. After fighting back to tie the score late in the set, MNU dropped critical points down the stretch, allowing Central Methodist to seize the momentum and carry it through the remainder of the match.
