Adam Gray saw trouble in just one inning, the 2nd, when the leadoff man reached second on an error and there were runners at 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. A strikeout and lineout ended the threat, and Gray faced the minimum in his other 3 innings of work, allowing no hits and striking out 3. MNU took the lead in the top of the 4th when
Noah Castillo reached on an error and
Willy Borquez singled. After a couple of failed bunt attempts,
Dionathan Cornet crushed a 3-run homer to center for a 3-0 lead.
In the bottom of the 5th, ERAU broke through with 6 runs before an out was recorded to take the lead. In the top of the 6th, MNU scored thanks to 3 straight 2-out errors, but the Eagles extended the lead with 3 in the 6th. Another run crossed in the 7th, and MNU couldn't dig out of the hole.
