OSKALOOSA, Iowa – MNU won at William Penn for the first time in program history with a 108-72 victory on Monday. The Pioneers had been 0-9 in Oskaloosa before exploding for 69 second-half points to turn a 3-point halftime deficit into a laugher. MNU trailed 42-39 at the break, but caught fire in the second half as 3 Pioneers put up double figures in the period; including
Ed Wright with 20,
Anthony Brown with 16, and
Brantyn Van Dyke with 11. With almost 14 minutes left in the game, MNU led 54-51. An 11-0 run created separation, and another big run a few minute later - this time 16-0 - put MNU up 29.
Turning Point
MNU's 11-0 run in the second half put them up double digits for good.
