Pioneers Fall at #7 Clarke, Await At-Large Bid

DUBUQUE, Iowa – MNU played right with #7 Clarke into the 4th quarter, but lost by 8 in the Heart Tournament semifinals on Friday. The first half was tight, and a Clarke 3-pointer at the buzzer gave the Pride a 1-point halftime lead. Both teams scored 18 points in the 3rd quarter, and MNU started the 4th with a 3 from Allison French and a layup from Jordynn Gonzalez for a 4-point lead. But Clarke turned the game around with a 14-1 run to take a 9-point lead with 4 minutes remaining. MNU couldn't close the deficit to any more than 6, and the Pride knocked MNU out of the tournament.
