OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers bounced back after a tough loss to dominate Central Methodist 59-12 on Homecoming Saturday. The teams traded field goals in the first quarter before an interception from
Maxwell Webber led to a 6-play touchdown drive and a 9-3 lead.
Shawn Cherry broke through the defense and ran for a 66-yard touchdown early in the second quarter, and a trick play on the PAT was good for 2 points and a 17-3 lead.
Elias Carson recorded a pick deep in CMU territory, and an 11-play 87-yard drive ended with an
Adrian Parsons to
Paul Saint Louis 12-yard touchdown. After stopping CMU on 4th down, MNU went 66 yards in 3 plays for a 31-3 halftime lead.
The Pioneers kept extending the lead in the 2nd half, including an
Adrian Parsons 61-yard scramble for a touchdown, and MNU won 59-12.
