Pioneers Come Back at Culver-Stockton

CANTON, Mo. - MNU struggled in the first half but turned it around in a 64-60 victory at Culver-Stockton on Saturday. The Pioneers managed just 10 field goals and 28 points in the first half, and Culver built a 9-point lead at the break. A personal 7-0 run from Ed Wright opened the 2nd half, and the deficit was cut to 2. MNU finally took the lead at the 11-minute mark with a pair of Brooks Langrehr free throws, but the Wildcats built a 4-point lead with 7 minutes left. Anthony Brown scored 6 straight points to give the Pioneers a 5-point lead, and MNU held on to win by 4.
