AJ McMahon doubled to put 2 runners in scoring position with no outs. A
Javier Melendez sacrifice fly made it 1-0, and starting pitcher
Bryce Brecklin held the Firestorm scoreless into the 4th. Back to back 2-out doubles tied the game at 1, and the Pioneer offense went cold for 5 innings. In the bottom of the 6th, ACU loaded the bases with 2 outs. A double down the line cleared the bases, and MNU trailed 4-1. The Pioneers managed a single run in the 8th but got no closer, and fell 4-2.
Turning Point
The ACU 2-out 3-run double in the 6th was the game-winner.
