Rick Hovinga scored with under a minute remaining to earn a draw at #1 Central Methodist on Wednesday. MNU got on the board first when Elyes Elouze was fouled in the box, and
Rick Hovinga buried the PK for a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute. Just over 2 minutes later, the Eagles tied the game with a header, and the teams went into halftime deadlocked. In the 74th minute, CMU found the back of the net after a scrum in the box, and MNU fought desperately to equalize. With just 35 seconds left, MNU had a throw-in from the corner. The ball bounced off the head of a defender and to the foot of
Mikkel Braz. Braz bounced the ball towards Hovinga, who volleyed it past the keeper for the tie.
