Pioneers Swept by #9 CMU

OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers kept it close vs. the #9 team in the country, but couldn't plate any runs in a double header sweep by Central Methodist on Tuesday. In Game 1, both teams were scoreless until the top of the 5th, when CMU used a 1-out double and RBI single to break the tie. In the top of the 7th, a 2-run homer extended the Eagle lead, and the Pioneers fell 3-0.

Game 1 Turning Point
The RBI single in the 5th was the game winner.

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Alexis Wilds struck out 4 in the complete game loss. And Cordelia Hanger (1-2, BB, HBP) and Londin Fiorella (1-2, 2B, BB) reached base twice.

In Game 2, a bases loaded hit batsman in the top of the 2nd was the game's first run, and an RBI double in the 3rd made it 2-0. MNU out-hit CMU 7-5, but couldn't cross the plate in the 2-0 loss.
