Pioneers Win Streak Snapped at #13 CMU

FAYETTE, Mo. - The Pioneers lost a tight contest at #13 Central Methodist on Wednesday. Neither team led by more than 4 until the third quarter, when MNU got some distance with a 6-0 run for a 7-point lead. But the Eagles fought back to tie the game heading to the fourth quarter. With MNU leading by 3 in the final minute, CMU nailed a tough 3-pointer to tie the game. MNU had an opportunity for the final shot, but a steal led to a fast break and a foul with under 2 seconds left. CMU split the free throws, but MNU couldn't get off a final shot and fell by 1.
