PERU, Neb. - MNU prevented a 3-game losing streak with an 82-69 victory at Peru State on Saturday. The Pioneers were hot in the 1st quarter and won the period 23-13. The second quarter was a struggle and Peru took a 32-30 lead into halftime. MNU pulled away in the 2nd half, and closed the game with a 30-point 4th quarter - including 13 from TrEl'Shawn Smith - to win by 13.
