Pioneers Win 3rd Straight

FAYETTE, Mo. - The Pioneers have won 3 straight games for the first time since 2019 in a 27-13 win at Central Methodist on Saturday. MNU got a 4th down stop on the opening drive, then converted a Trevor Highley field goal in the ensuing possession to take a 3-0 lead. The teams traded punts for the rest of the first quarter, but MNU used a 20-play 86-yard touchdown drive to take a 10-0 lead early in the 2nd. CMU responded with a touchdown drive of their own, but the Pioneers closed out the half with a Blake Atkins to Isaiah Williams last-second touchdown for a 17-7 lead.

MNU started the 2nd half with a field goal, then intercepted a fake punt to get CMU off the field. The ensuing drive went 70 yards in 6 plays for a Kentreal Jones 4-yard touchdown run, and MNU held on to win 27-13.
