Pioneers Bounce Back

OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers are back in the win column after a 5-1 victory over Evangel on Tuesday. MNU scored first in the 13th minute when Mikkel Braz found the net, assisted by Diego Calderon. In the 20th minute, Rick Hovinga scored his first of of the match, and MNU took a 2-0 lead into halftime. Mathieu Ecourtemer converted a PK for a 4-0 lead, and Evangel got one back in the 63rd minute. Hovinga's second goal came in the 58th minute, assisted from Nicolas Theberge. And Nicholas Richmond converted a PK in the 73rd minute to close out the scoring.

Turning Point
Hovinga's goal in the 20th minute proved to be enough.

Individual Leaders
Rick Hovinga recorded 2 goals. Mikkel Braz, Mathieu Ecourtemer, and Nicholas Richmand each had a goal. And Diego Calderon and Nicolas Theberge each had an assist.
