Rocky Lamar reached 800 career wins with a 95-80 victory over Grand View on Saturday. The Pioneers started hot and built a 23-11 lead, and the advantage got as high as 19 in the first half. In the second half, the Pioneers built a 20-point lead before Grand View started to fight back. The deficit was cut to 12 with 10 minutes left, but MNU pushed the lead back to 24 and cruised to the finish.
After the game, Coach Rocky and his wife, Dr. Jo Lamar, were celebrated by the fans and enjoyed a special presentation of a commemorative signed ball.
Turning Point
MNU's 23-11 start set the tone.
Individual Leaders
Anthony Brown had 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 steals.
Jake Alexander had 18 points.
Trey Brown hit 5 threes for 17 points and 4 assists. And
Cameron Brady added 10 points and 10 rebounds.
