OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers lost by 2 in a tough game vs. Peru State on Saturday. The Bobcats started the game on fire and built a 32-15 lead after 13 minutes of play. In the final minute of the half, MNU went on a 6-0 run to trail by just 5 at the break. MNU took the lead on a Cameron Brady 3-point play with 16 minutes left, but Peru scored on their next possession and built a 13-point lead with 7 minutes remaining. The Pioneers fought back and tied the game with under a minute to play, but Peru managed a tough bucket with 17 seconds left. MNU's final possession resulted in a desperation deep three, and Peru escaped with the 2-point win.

Peru's bucket in the final minute was the difference.

Anthony Brown had 16 points and 3 steals. Cameron Brady had 14 points. Darnell Miller had 11 points off the bench. And Trey Brown had 9 points and 5 assists.
