Pioneers Fall at Park

PARKVILLE, Mo. - MNU started hot but were chased down in an 84-80 loss at Park on Monday. The Pioneers led 35-21 with 4 minutes left in the first half, but the Pirates ended the half on a 15-2 run to get within 2 points. Jake Alexander's buzzer-beating 3 pushed the MNU lead back to 5 at the break, but Park was back in the game. The Pioneers were able to maintain a 5 to 7 point lead for most of the second half, but the Pirates used a 6-0 run to chase them back down. Park finally took the lead with 3 minutes left, and MNU couldn't bounce back.

Turning Point
Park's 3-pointer with just under 2 minutes left gave them the lead for good.

Individual Leaders
Cameron Brady had 20 points and 9 rebounds. Anthony Brown had 15 points and 6 rebounds. Jake Alexander had 13 points and 6 rebounds. And Trey Brown and Darnell Miller had 12 points apiece.
