Pioneers Split at Park

PARKVILLE, Mo. - The Pioneers split a double header at Park on Wednesday. In Game 1, MNU got on the board in the bottom of the 1st when Cordelia Hanger walked and stole second ahead of a Morgan Fouch 1-out RBI single. Emma Ryan followed with a 2-run homer, and MNU had a 3-0 lead. In the bottom of the 4th, Park rallied for 3 runs to tie the game. But MNU re-took the lead in the top of the 5th when Fouch again singled home a run with 2 outs. In the top of the 7th, Fianna Aird led off with a pinch hit single, leading to a 5th run and a 2-run victory.

Morgan Fouch's 2-out RBI single in the 5th was the game winner.

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Sarah Melodia pitched 3.2 innings with 2 hits and no runs for the relief win. And Londin Fiorella (0-3, RBI, SF), Morgan Fouch (2-4, R, 2 RBI), and Emma Ryan (1-3, R, HR, 2 RBI) drove in MNU's 5 runs.

In Game 2, Park started fast and led 3-0 after 2 innings. A big rally in the bottom of the 4th put the Pirates up 8-0, and MNU couldn't get anything going.
