OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers did not allow a run in a double header sweep of Avila on Wednesday. In 
Game 1, the Pioneers scored in each of the first 5 innings to build a 7-0 lead. Starter 
Alexis Wilds allowed just 4 hits through 5 innings, and 
Allison Denges didn't allow a baserunner in the final two innings as MNU won easily.

Alexis Wilds struck out 6 in 5 innings for the win. 
Allison Denges pitched 2 perfect innings of relief. And

Londin Fiorella (2-4, R, 2 RBI, SB) had multi-hit games.
In
 Game 2, runs were hard to come by until a late burst from the Pioneers. In the bottom of the 3rd, 
Morgan Fouch's 2-out RBI single broke the scoreless tie, and the game was 1-0 until the bottom of the 5th. Fouch hit her second homer of the day - a 2-run shot - to give MNU a 3-0 lead. The Pioneers loaded the bases, and with 2 outs, 
Shelby Snelling drove in 2 with a single. 
Hannah Tenberge followed with another 2-run single, and MNU led 7-0. Starter 
Sarah Melodia went this distance, allowing just 2 hits in a complete game shutout.
Game 2 Turning Point
Morgan Fouch's RBI single in the 3rd proved to be the game winner.
