ATCHISON, Kan. -Â MNU dropped the first 2 sets, but came all the way back to beat Benedictine 3-2 on Tuesday. The scores were 19-25, 19-25, 28-26, 25-21, and 15-9.
"Wow! What a win!" said head coach
Molly Karagyaurov. "I'm still coming down from that high. My hat is off to Benedictine. They created a great match environment. It was a really cool experience for the athletes. Our girls were determined. That was a really gritty win! It wasn't pretty. We had to make big changes. But ultimately they worked it out for the team! What a way to end our regular season. I'm extremely proud."
Turning Point
MNU fought off match point in Set 3 to keep the match alive.
Individual Leaders
Jennifer Roth led the offense with 17 kills, 18 digs, and 5 aces.
Nikoleta Kandic had 14 kills and 14 digs.
Ariana Arciniega added 11 kills.
Teresa Saunders had 8 kills and 8 blocks.
Savannah Crossland had 23 digs. And
Danielle Gonzalis had 36 assists.
