DES MOINES, Mo. -Â MNU won the first set, but dropped the next 3 in a 4-set loss in the Heart Tournament quarterfinals on Saturday. The scores were 27-25, 16-25, 20-25, and 20-25.
"First of all, my congratulations to Grand View." said head coach
Molly Karagyaurov. "They're a solid team in a solid program with solid leadership. As for my girls, I'm so proud. We made a top 20 team look nervous on their own floor. And that's not easy to do. We've come so far this year on and off the court. We have grown a lot but growth isn't easy or pretty. But we finished strong with a group who played hard all the way to the end. To our seniors, you will be missed. It was a solid group of women who put a lot into this team but also into the program over the last few years. The next step is to take some time off - heal, rest, study. Then we will be back and ready in the spring to get better this off season!"
