OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers lost Game 1 in extras but walked off Game 2 to earn a split vs. Tabor on Saturday. In Game 1, the Pioneers took a 1-0 lead when
Kaleigh Bayless doubled and
Morgan Fouch singled in the bottom of the 3rd. Tabor responded with a 3-run 4th, however, to take a 2-run lead. MNU loaded the bases with 1 out, and
Morgan Fouch singled home 2 runs to tie the game. Both teams scored 1 in the 6th, and the game went into extras. Tabor executed their international tiebreaker scenario to go up by 1, but MNU could not and the game ended with a Tabor victory.
