OLATHE, Kan. - MNU fell in the season opener to a tough Morningside squad on Friday. The Pioneers led 18-14 after 1 quarter, but the Mustangs upped the pressure and dominated the rest of the game. Morningside led by 12 at halftime and kept extending throughout the rest of the game.

Turning Point
Morningside won the 2nd quarter 26-10 to take control of the game.

Individual Leaders
Mackenzie Loe had 15 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 3 steals. Megan Scott had 11 points and 10 rebounds in 14 minutes off the bench. Jalynn Ervin added 8 points in 15 minutes off the bench. And Lydia Ostenson had 7 points and 7 rebounds.
