Second Half Woes Doom Pioneers

FAYETTE, Mo. - The Pioneers suffered a road loss 77-65 at Central Methodist on Monday. MNU came out in the 1st half strong against CMU going into the 2nd half with a 4 point lead at 37-33. A slow start to the 2nd half saw the Pioneers only score 2 points in almost 8 minutes of play. With the Eagles now leading by 14 points, the Pioneers needed to score quickly. They stopped the Eagles from extending their lead, but could not bring it within reach, ending the game with a 65-77 loss.

Turning Point
The Eagles went on 20-2 run to in the first seven and a half minutes of the second half to give them a 14-point lead.

Individual Leaders
Jake Alexander led MNU with 19 points and 6 rebounds off the bench. Anthony Brown had 14 points and 4 rebounds. Dante Scroggins had 12 points and 9 rebounds. And Trey Brown had 9 points and 5 assists.
